Thank you thank you thank you. I contacted Canon and there was no fix and no suggestions except to You Tube it but they said they can't comment or recommend using YT. I followed your directions and what a simple simple fix. At first I wasn't able to get the cartridges to move easily. That was a chore, but I figured it out. Whew..... Canon wanted to me to travel to Mississauga, Ontario to get the printer serviced. I live 3 hrs away. Soo, that wasn't happening. Anyway, I was able to replace the cartridge before it's time. I made a mistake, when I was urged to replace the blk cartridge I forgot to take the tab off where the ink is released... Duh!! 🤪I couldn't figure out why the printer was printing a blank page. lolololol Thanks Cityinkexpress..... 😃

Wow I have that same printer had it about six or seven years, I had know idea I could use edible ink and paper with it. I didn’t get such thing with it when I bought it . All it came with was a ten sheet pack of photo paper and a set of normal inks

You got to be kidding me. WHO designed this trash. I just threw mine in the dump. The black ink in the reservoir was dried and wouldn’t pump through. I’ll never use this brand again.

Brilliant! Thank you for providing the info that Canon should have supplied for this particularly awful product. I've never had so much trouble with a printer before. The quality of pictures has never been as good as the cheapest HP printer and the black output is hardly ever a complete print. Yet this thing cost 4 x the price of my old HP! I'll give it this last chance with new inks and if that doesn't work, it's off to the rubbish bin. My lesson learned is.... "Canon make good cameras and rubbish ink jet printers!"

Do you need to wait for the refill once the printer says its empty? or can you refill before that?

My WF-2835 won't recognise the cartridges, even after resetting them. They are installed correctly, the printer just won't accept non-genuine stuff any more. What can I do please?

What are you pressing when you put your hand inside? I have a Maxify MB2720 and powered down but my cartridges will not move from the right side. I pressed a lever up that is beside it but that was not helpful. So frustrated. Can't believe Cannon built a machine that you cannot change the ink cartridge until it is completely empty!

So basically if you can find 2 testing probe, put power thru it and start touching the chip? Since your not programming the chip this cant be considered resetting anything. I think the proper term is shorting if you ask me.
